Assuming you know nothing about the button accordion, I begin my DVD/VHS by explaining the instrument itself, its parts and components and their purpose. I'll show you how to hold the accordion correctly, some dos and don'ts and ways to avoid bad habits. You'll see how parts of the accordion work together during the playing process.
As I'm playing you can observe what buttons I use to play a song and how to use them. The notation system from my booklets will appear on the screen at the same time. I will play a number of selections from my booklets starting from the basic playing, leading up to and including the advance level using tricks and techniques that will improve your playing
You will also get to see my seven year old Grand-daughter, Kaitlynn, play as well. She's only been playing a couple of weeks and you will observe from her what the beginning stages of playing will sound like. If you can't avail of lessons this video should be the next best thing to help you learn to play.
